SNU's Symphonic Band Spring Concert set for March 8, 2007

Southern Nazarene University (SNU) - School of Music presents the Symphonic Band in spring concert, Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in Herrick Auditorium, located on NW 39th and Asbury in Bethany.

The concert program will feature soloists Trent Robinson on euphonium and Lisa Stokely on flute. Repertoire will be Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Grainger, Lola Flores by Alfred Sadel, and Fantasia for Euphonium and Band by Gordon Jacob, and Concertino for Flute by Cecile Chaminade.

“We always look forward to featuring soloists with the band, and I know the audience will enjoy both of these fine students performing virtuosic repertoire for euphonium and flute,” said Dr. Phil Moore, Director of the band and Chair for the School of Music at SNU.

The Symphonic Band is an auditioned 55-piece band, which performs throughout the school year locally and overseas.

SNU’s School of Music is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
