The SNU School of Music presents the Choral Society and Orchestra in a performance of Handel’s Messiah, Sunday, December 7, 2003 at 6:00 p.m., at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 7301 South Walker, Oklahoma City (I-240 & S. Walker).

Under the direction of Dr. Brent Ballweg, the SNU Choral Society is a 100-voice ensemble which combines singers from the SNU School of Music with community singers from throughout the Oklahoma City metroplex. Dr. Melissa Lewis is assisting in the orchestra’s preparation with Cherrie Hampton serving as vocal coach and Tim Marek as rehearsal accompanist.
“Handel’s timeless masterpiece speaks for itself,” said Dr. Ballweg, conductor. “The Choral Society and Orchestra are looking forward to the opportunity to present the musical style and drama that makes Messiah one of the most beloved works of all time.” The Choral Society will present choral and solo numbers from all three parts of Messiah, ending with the powerful “Worthy is the Lamb-Amen.”
