School of Music to perform at Tulsa Central Church of the Nazarene
Choirs and bands from the Southern Nazarene University School of Music will gather at Tulsa Central Church of the Nazarene, located on 81st Street between Memorial and Sheridan, Sunday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m. to present an evening of sacred music entitled “Covenant Celebration.” The public is invited to attend. There is no admission charge; however a freewill offering will be taken.
The program will feature performances by ensembles of the SNU School of Music including the Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra, Brass Choir, Handbell Choir, SNU Chorale, University Singers, Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus, and EXALT!. 150 students will be participating.
“This event provides an opportunity to experience the celebration of SNU’s finest musical talent in sacred concert,” said Dr. Phil Moore, Chair of the SNU School of Music. “The people of Tulsa are always exuberant in their support of these fine student musicians.”
Southern Nazarene University is sponsored by the Church of the Nazarene in the south central region of the country, drawing students from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Once each semester, the School of Music travels out on the region to present the Covenant Celebration.
