Sonic Success for Messengers
Campus group nets $350 in fundraiser
A combination of hard work, solid participation, and warm weather helped net the Messengers campus ministry group $350 in one of their most successful fundraisers this year.
The money was collected from tips for waiting on cars at the Sonic located near Rockwell and NW Expressway on a Saturday. The funds will be used to defray the cost of travelling to the group's weekend destinations. Transportation of twenty-five students for a typical weekend trip can cost several hundred dollars. These students actively seek and participate in fundraisers to increase the number of churches the group can serve.
The group has also hosts car washes, receipt night at Taco Cabana (Thursdays), and is beginning to collect old cellular phones. More information on these ventures can be found at our 'Fundraisers' link.
