Symphonic Band Spring Concert features global variety
The SNU School of Music presents the Symphonic Band in spring concert, Thursday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Herrick Auditorium, NW 39th Expressway and Asbury. Admission is free.
Under the direction of Dr. Phil Moore, the 50-member Symphonic Band will perform a program entitled Here, There, and Everywhere, featuring music from Mexico, Japan, Ireland, France, Russia, Scotland, and America. Concert selections will include “La Fiesta Mexicana,” “Four Scottish Dances,” “Suite of Old American Dances,” “Fantasy on Sakura Sakura,” “Irish Tune from County Derry,” and “Russian Sailors’ Dance.”
“I know the audience will enjoy this eclectic blend of music from various cultures and geographical locations,” said Moore.
