U.S.News & World Report list SNU in "America's Best Colleges"

BETHANY, OKU.S.News & World Report has selected Southern Nazarene University as a Top-Tier University–Master’s in its report, “American’s Best Colleges.” This category ranks 557 universities within the four geographic areas of North, South, Midwest, and West.

SNU is ranked within the West area as an institution that provides a full range of undergraduate and master’s programs. SNU was selected based on criteria from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, including small class sizes, freshman retention, student-faculty ratio and SAT/ACT scores.

Southern Nazarene University President Loren Gresham states; “I am pleased with this recognition by U.S.News & World Report as a Top-Tier University. It symbolizes what we have known all along, that SNU is among the best as an academic institution, within the context of building character, shaping culture, and serving Christ.”

“America’s Best Colleges” is the oldest and most renowned system for ranking the nation’s institutions of higher learning. The U.S.News & World Report annually compiles data from thousands of U.S. colleges and universities, and publishes findings from more than 1,400 schools. The annual “America’s Best Colleges” guidebook 2007 Edition magazine will be on the news stands through June 1, 2007.
