Winter 2006 Commencement Ceremony at Southern Nazarene University
Southern Nazarene University (SNU) will honor the graduating “Winter 2006” class during Winter Commencement on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sawyer Center, on the campus of SNU at Northwest 39th Expressway and Donald. The doors to the Sawyer Center will open for guest seating at 1:00 p.m.
The speakers for this year are three SNU students. Preston Doerflinger, Mike Gerten and Laurie Martin. “Rather than having the usual commencement speaker format, we are trying something a little different. We have invited three students from the graduating class to represent their peers, and share briefly reflections of their learning journey while here at SNU,” said Dr. Martha Banz, Dean of Arts and Sciences.
The 2006 Winter Commencement at SNU will mark the accomplishments of 132 Masters degrees, 200 Adult Studies degrees, and 48 Traditional students degrees.
Commencement is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to enter through the West doors of the Sawyer Center. For additional information about commencement, contact the SNU Office of Academic Affairs at 405.491.6304.
