Women's Golf Tees Off This Morning at Nationals

(DAYTONA BEACH, FL)---The Crimson Storm women’s golf team tees off this morning in the first day of competition at the 2004 NAIA National Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida. Southern Nazarene, ranked 2nd in the final NAIA National Polls, is a favorite along with #1 ranked Oklahoma City to take the NAIA National Title.

The Crimson Storm already own two NAIA National Championships under 11th year Head Coach Steve Hulsey. Hulsey led Southern Nazarene to its first National Championship in 1999 and then took the Storm back to the crown in 2002. In 1998, the Crimson Storm finished as the National Runners-Up. Since 1998, SNU has placed in the Top Ten each season at Nationals.

This season, the Crimson Storm have been impressive with two first place finishes in the spring along with two second place finishes and two third place finishes. The Crimson Storm have been among the nation’s elite throughout the season, being consistently ranked in the Top Three in the nation.
