Women's Golf Wins South Central Kansas Invitational

(WINFIELD, KAN.)---The fourth-ranked Crimson Storm women’s golf team cruised to a 58 stroke victory at the South Central Kansas Spring Invitational on Tuesday in Winfield, Kansas. SNU posted a team score of 662, finishing 58 strokes ahead of Southwestern Kansas, who finished with a team total of 720.

Individually, SNU’s Jennifer Butler led the way for the Crimson Storm, taking first place overall with a two day total of 159. Butler shot scores of 79 and 80. The Crimson Storm actually swept the top four spots with Robin Hantla coming in second with a score of 166; Tyler Thompson finishing third with a 170; and Lillie West taking fourth with a 171.

Natalia Camaeho came in sixth with a score of 175, Lacy Torbert was ninth with a 183, Whitney Grissom was 12th with a score of 189, and Kali Rutledge came in 14th with a total of 191.
