(MOBILE,AL)---The Crimson Storm women's tennis team advanced to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament on Monday morning with a hard fought 5-4 victory over Westmont, California in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament in Mobile, Alabama.
The Crimson Storm started the day off with two important doubles victories as Larikah Russell and Nikkita Fountain won their #1 doubles match up 8-5 and Jana Maker and Caroline Magambo followed with an 8-4 win.
SNU would then earn points at #1 and #2 singles with convincing wins by Larikah Russell 6-0,6-0; and Nikkita Fountain at #2 6-0, 6-1. Jana Maker would clinch the final point with a 6-0, 6-3 win at #6 singles.
