The Athletic Training Program provides both the didactic and the clinical preparation for the graduate to be eligible to challenge the Board of Certification (BOC) examination. In addition to classroom experiences, each student's clinical education includes laboratory courses and clinical rotations. Students in clinical rotations learn under the direct supervision of a Certified Athletic Trainer or other qualified clinical instructors. SNU Athletic Training Education Program boasts a 100% retention rate with all students reaching graduation and eligibility for the BOC examination. Since 2010, 6 students have taken the exam with 100% percent earning their Certified Athletic Trainer credential (33% first time). Post-graduation, we have a 100% job placement rate with our graduates working in various settings for the physically active. These include but not limited to: Putnam City Original High School, McBride Orthopedic Hospital, Dallas Baptist University, Oklahoma Baptist University, University of Central Oklahoma and StretchU clinic. The SNU Athletic Training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
