Bequests, Life Insurance & Retirement Plans
Southern Nazarene University Foundation exists to receive and hold endowments and other gifts that are made to benefit Southern Nazarene University. The SNU Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that is wholly-controlled by the individuals who are the serving trustees of the University. Contributions that are entrusted to the care of the SNU Foundation are managed, invested, and expended for the benefit of the University -- the sole reason for the SNU Foundation’s existence is to serve the University. The University encourages all endowment and other gifts that are to be held to be given to the SNU Foundation rather than directly to the University.

Bequests
Your will or revocable trust is an excellent way to make a gift to the SNU Foundation for the benefit of Southern Nazarene University, and you may wish to include the SNU Foundation in your estate plan. The University welcomes all bequests that align with the purpose and mission of the University, regardless how small or large. Donors are encouraged to obtain legal and financial counsel in developing estate plans or preparing and executing wills and trusts. For your convenience as you visit with your advisors, the following language is suggested, with alternative language for various gifts in brackets:

I give, devise and bequeath [the sum of $XXX] [all my right, title and interest in {identify property}] [XX% of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate] [all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate] to Southern Nazarene University Foundation, a non -profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Oklahoma, located in Bethany, Oklahoma.

The University appreciates receiving notice from donors of bequest intentions or related gifts through wills or trusts.

Life Insurance & Retirement Plans
You can name “Southern Nazarene University Foundation, Bethany, Oklahoma” if you wish to name SNU Foundation as the beneficiary of all or a part of a life insurance policy or as all or part of your retirement plan assets.
