Bethany, Oklahoma – July 8, 2019 – Brent LaVigne, Vice President of University Relations at Southern Nazarene University (SNU), announces the selection of Mr. Todd Brant as Executive Director of Alumni Relations. Brant, previously the Executive Director of University Relations, transitioned to his new area of service to SNU on July 1, 2019.
No stranger to the SNU global community, Todd has faithfully and effectively served in the areas of Recruitment, Admissions and University Advancement at SNU over the last twenty-three plus years. Speaking to the Alumni Association Board members, LaVigne said, “I’m confident that God has led us to a leader who has the passion and context to work alongside the Board to strengthen our connection with the more than 32,000 SNU alumni around the world, and inspire them to actively support their alma mater.”
SNU President, Dr. Keith Newman, said of Todd, “When you think of a genuine ‘people person,’ you immediately think of Todd.” He continued, “It’s hard to imagine anyone more qualified or gifted for this new role, although his excellent work in University Relations and Planned Giving will be sorely missed.”
Brant earned the Bachelor of Arts in 1994 at SNU, majoring in Mass Communications, and followed with a Master of Arts degree in Communications in 1998, also at SNU. Todd was a pioneer in the student missions initiative, serving in Romania, and has been a mentor and friend to hundreds of students over the years. Todd and his wife, Julie, have three children: Grayson, Maddie and Landon.
Southern Nazarene University, founded in 1899, is a private, Christian, liberal arts university - an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. Located on a 40-acre campus just west of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, SNU also maintains a center in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
