The Peer Learning Network (PLN) at Southern Nazarene University recently hosted best-selling author and business expert Clayton Christensen at the capstone event of the Network’s 2013-2014 lecture series.
The sold-out luncheon at the Jim Thorpe Event Center in Oklahoma City was attended by corporate CEO’s, university presidents, health-care executives, and a diverse group of professionals, as well as top business students from Southern Nazarene University.
In a poll of thousands of executives, consultants and business school professors, Christensen was named as the most influential business thinker in the world, and is regarded as an expert on disruptive innovation and growth.
The Harvard Business School professor captivated the crowd with reflections on corporate America, outcomes of innovation and insights on ethics and influence in both personal and business relationships.
Southern Nazarene University president, Dr. Loren Gresham, expressed deep appreciation to the Peer Learning Network major partners Insurica, Express Employment Professionals, OPUBCO Communications Group, McAfee & Taft, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Mercy Health, and Kimray, Inc. for their support and commitment, bringing top presenters, such as Dr. Christensen, to Oklahoma City.
Dr. Gresham also stated that the Peer Learning Network, facilitated by the Zig Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership at SNU, is looking forward to its 20th year of outstanding events in 2014-2015. For more information about the Peer Learning Network and corporate partnerships, visit www.snu.edu/pln.
