From December 27th to January 3rd, 129 team members represented Southern Nazarene University in service ministry in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Projects completed in this year’s annual Commission Unto Mexico
trip included ministry outreach through six Vacation Bible School programs for children, presentations of the JESUS film and community and park clean-up. The team also helped with construction of a corrugated metal sheeting roof to winterize the district office and several additional construction, maintenance and painting projects.
As a partnership in the team’s community service, the state government of Chihuahua donated 10,000 fruit and ornamental trees to the Church of the Nazarene to plant in communities. In addition, the state health department donated wellbeing vitamins, Vermox and folic acid for local churches to distribute within their community.
