We have put on-line a copy of the SNU's Student Right to Know information, compliance policies, and university handbooks and regulations in an effort to communicate this vital information efficiently and effectively to students, parents, alumni, and university personnel. We encourage you to browse these documents and web pages and take note of the information which SNU makes available in accordance with federal regulations.

Southern Nazarene University is a not-for-profit exempt organization as described in Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. In compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 1991, and Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, the university does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, age, color, national or ethnic origin, marital status, or disability in the recruitment, admission, and treatment of students or access to university programs or activities including the operation of all university programs, activities, services and employment. The university maintains compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989, the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, and the Health Insurance Protection and Portability Act.

TITLE IX DISCLOSURE

Under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Southern Nazarene University prohibits all unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex or gender in its educational programs and activities, except where the University has been granted exemptions from certain Title IX regulations on religious grounds, including the specific religious tenet of the University.   

Noindividual will be subject to any form of retaliation, discipline, or otheradverse action for reporting conduct in violation of the university’snondiscrimination/Equal Employment Opportunity Statement, assisting/cooperatingin making a complaint, or assisting with the investigation of a complaint. Anyindividual who believes they have experienced or witnessed retaliation shouldimmediately notify the appropriate member(s) of the administration asidentified above. Those found to be engaging in any type of discrimination inviolation of law or university policy will be subject to disciplinary action,up to an including dismissal or termination of employment.
