  • President of KNU Visits Campus

    BETHANY, OK (August 14, 2012) - On Friday, August 3, 2012, the campus of Southern Nazarene University was privileged to welcome alumnus Dr. Min Gyoo Shin, President of Korea Nazarene University and senior pastor of Sangamdong Church of the Nazarene in Seoul, South Korea.  Dr. Shin was accompanied by distinguished lay leaders of the Sangamdong church, who were touring a number of sites in the U.S.   Full Story

  • SNU Hosts School Supply Drive on August 6

    BETHANY, OK (August 2, 2012) - On Monday, August 6th Southern Nazarene University and Chick-fil-A on Rockwell & NW Expressway have partnered for a Back to School Supply Drive. As a way to give back to the community, SNU will be accepting donations of school supplies for local teachers at Greenvale Elementary, Tulakes Elementary and Capps Middle School.   • Alumna to Compete in Her First Triathlon at Age 67

    BETHANY, OK (July 27, 2012) - On August 18th, SNU Alumna, Marcia Schultz Darin (’66) will be competing in her first triathlon at age 67.   Three generations of the Darin family women will be competing at “Team Magic's Girls Tri It On” Nashville triathlon, and at the Vaco Brentwood Kids Triathlon, happening later that same morning. Trying adventurous things together as a family isn't a new thing for the Darin family.   Full Story

  • Nominations Needed for Outstanding Alumni Awards

    The SNU Office of Alumni is now accepting nominations for Outstanding Alumni Awards - to be presented at Homecoming 2012, during the All Alumni Dinner on Saturday, November 10th. Awards presented at Homecoming will honor Alumni Veterans and those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.   Full Story

  • Dorris Named SNU's Head Coach of Women's Basketball

    BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene University has announced that it has hired Derek Dorris as its Head Coach for Women’s Basketball.  Dorris becomes the 10th coach in the program’s history that features seven NAIA National Championships. He takes over for Lori Carter who spent the last nine years at SNU and left as the school’s all-time wins leader at 219.   Full Story
