Equestrian at SNU

The SNU Equestrian Center is located approximately one mile west of the main campus in Bethany, Oklahoma on 116 acres of pasture and woodland.

SNU moved its six horses from ten acres in Yukon to the current location in Bethany in 1999.  A building was donated that would serve for the only barn on the property, and it was outfitted with six stalls, a class room, and a tack room.  Two roundpens were then built, along with an arena for more in depth training.

The Equestrian Center employs students to carry out day-to-day operations and maintenance. Employment opportunities at the center provide students an environment to learn first hand the practical aspects of facility management and horse care. For employment information call the barn at 405-495-1489.
