What if...?

My student is ill and I am not there to take care of him or her?
Encourage your student to visit the Student Health Center on the first floor of the Webster Commons. Office hours are posted on the door. You may also visit the Student Health Center's web page here.

My student needs a job or would like to find internship opportunities?
Career Services provides job listings for part time jobs, and internships, while your student is attending SNU. They also provide job listings and assistance for when your student is ready to pursue a job after graduating from SNU. My student wants to bring his or her car to campus for their freshman year. Can they do that?
Freshmen along with the rest of the student body are allowed to bring their car to school with them. They need to register their car with Security when they arrive on campus. For more information about Security, click here.

My student needs technical help with their laptop?
All Dell or Mac laptops issued through the Laptop Center should be returned to the laptop center for repairs or questions. You can reach the Laptop Center here.

My student wants to get involved on campus?
One of the best places to start looking is with the Student Government Association. They actively plan an event for almost every weekend of the school year. My student hasn't decided on a major or know what classes to take?
Don't be alarmed if your student takes a semester or two to select a major. Changing majors is quite common as well. There are resources on campus to help students understand their interests, set career goals, and choose an appropriate major. Also, each student is assigned an Academic Adviser to help them select classes that are appropriate for the major the students are considering.
