Gina McGarry, M.A., - School for ChildrenGina (pronounced "Jenna") has been with School for Children for 31 years. She taught in the Pre-Kindergarten Division from 1978-1980. She moved to the Kindergarten Division from 1980-1982 and then to the Lower Primary Division, where she's been ever since. Gina is married to Mike McGarry, a high school teacher and coach. They have two children: Erin and Matt.

Miss Gina is an expert in teaching young children how to read. She is diligent in meeting the needs of each student. This Bethany native is known for her work ethic and energy.

She can be found working an occasional crossword puzzle, reading a book, or in a cabin in Colorado. Gina loves playing pitcher at SFC kickball games.

"I became a teacher because I grew up in family of teachers. My mom, dad, and grandmother were all educators and I wanted to follow in their footsteps. I love teaching because I enjoy working with children and making a difference in their lives. It's so exciting to see what they accomplish by the end of the school year!"
