Departmental Intended Outcomes

The Disability Services office seeks to empower students with disabilities to access all aspects of university life at Southern Nazarene University. Students will be provided:

  • Necessary information to self-identify as a student with a disability
  • Reasonable accommodations in accordance with Section 504/ADA policy upon collection and evaluation of acceptable documentation
  • Appropriate assistive technology based upon disability needs
  • Preparation for academic success through accommodations and assistive technology
  • Advocacy through coordination of academic and other support services and education of university faculty and staff
  • Accountability through one-on-one meetings and communications

Reasonable accommodations are offered to eligible students and are individualized to accommodate specific functional limitations resulting from a disability.
