Welcome
My name is Aubree McKamie, and my team and I are here to help arrange your visit to campus. The best way to get a glimpse into the life of a college student on the campus of SNU is to come for an individual visit! To get and idea of what campus looks like, be sure to check out pics of the SNU Campus community on our flickr page and schedule your visit today!
Individual Visit
We offer campus tours at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday–Friday year round, as well as appointments with your admissions counselor. During the academic year you can also include class visits and/or appointments with professors & coaches in your individual visit. We appreciate advance notice as it can take time to confirm the details.
Counselor Appointments/Interview
Your counselor will help you understand the University’s admission process. First, you will meet with the a counselor for a brief introduction to the University. Ask questions, take notes, and get the counselor’s business card so you can call or email if you have more questions later.
Campus Tours
Next, get a tour from the experts. Current SNU students or Admissions staff give you a chance to ask questions about campus life as you stroll through the buildings (Campus Map), residence halls (A.M. Hills Residential Complex), and even grab a meal in the campus dining hall (Webster Commons). If we don't have time to show you every building feel free to ask about any others that are important to you.
Faculty/Staff/Coach Appointments
Meeting with a specific person in your area of interest provides an opportunity to get the detailed information you’re looking for. Take notes and get a business card, so you can follow up if necessary. If you would like to make an appointment to meet with a coach, coaches require a completed athlete questionnaire prior to scheduling an appointment.
Classroom Visits
This is the deal! You’ll have the chance to observe a college class in action. But remember, you are only an observer, so don’t inhibit the learning process for current students. Arrive on time and try not to leave early. If you must, sit near the door so you can enter/leave as quietly as possible. If there are not enough seats for current students, you may be asked to give up your seat. Wait until after class to ask questions. You are then welcome to approach the professor and introduce yourself as a campus visitor.
