Lambdin, Avaleen Memorial Scholarship

  • Established & funded by Major James C. Lambdin, husband
  • Provides need-based scholarships for undergraduate students
  • Preference to Japanese Nationals or of Japanese heritage
  • Amount varies

Lance, Ed & Harriett Scholarship

  • Established by Mr. Cary (Ed) Lance
  • Provides need-based scholarships to “international students” who:
     [1] Plan to return to their home country upon graduation and emulate SNU’s motto “Character-Culture-Christ”
     [2] Have completed at least one year of education at SNU
     [3] Are academically eligible
  • Amount varies

Payne, DeEtta Leupp Memorial Scholarship

  • Established by Dr. Edythe Leupp, mother
  • Any undergraduate classification eligible to apply
  • Provides need-based scholarships to students of Native American heritage

Porter, Rev. C. William (Bill) Memorial Latino Ministerial Scholarship

  • Established and funded by Mrs. Juanita Porter, wife; Dr. Jerry Porter, General Superintendent, Church of the Nazarene; and the family and friends of Rev. Bill Porter
  • Restricted to upper-division students of Latino Heritage
  • Must be full-time students in the SNU School of Theology & Ministry
  • Preparing for full-time Ministry, Missions, or a Mission-related vocation
  • Amount varies

Quakenbush, Ernest W. Memorial Scholarship

  • Established & funded by Dr. Luke & Joy Quakenbush Lewis, daughter and son-in-law
  • Any undergraduate classification eligible to apply
  • Provides general need-based scholarships for students who are residents of Mexico or Central America
  • Amount varies

Rivera, Dr. Hector Memorial Scholarship

  • Established by Dan & Sylvette Rivera Geeding
  • Provides need-based scholarships for Senior-level Hispanic students with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Amount varies

Sonnevik, Milton & Mabel Education Scholarship

  • Established and funded by Milton & Mabel Sonnevik, and Kenneth Sonnevik, son
  • Restricted to “International or Foreign” students with preference for Elementary Education majors
  • Undergraduate or graduate-level students with a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply
  • Based upon financial need with first preference for students working their way through SNU
  • Amount varies
