The Department of Kinesiology at Southern Nazarene University is committed to reflecting the philosophy of Character, Culture, Christ as it strives to prepare students for service professions in the area of Kinesiology. The objectives of the Department of Kinseiology are to prepare students:

• To teach Physical Education, Health & Safety (P-12) and athletic coaching
• For careers in Exercise Science (Personal Trainer, Strength Coach) and Allied Medical Professions (Pre-PT, Pre-OT)
• To become a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) recognized by the NATA
• For careers in Sports / Athletic business and management as well as Sports Information
