“This event helps students find jobs on campus or off,” said Chris Peterson, Southern Nazarene Career Director.   “It brings 30 employers to one location to allow many students to get a job all at once.”

The job fair offered employment through area business employers including Best Buy, The Children’s Center, Mardel, and 17 others.   Students also applied for work-study employment through local employers including Bethany Public Schools, Love Link Ministries Inc, and the Bethany Community Foundation After School Program.  Students spoke with prospective employers between 1 and 5 PM.

“It makes finding jobs a lot easier,” Ravonne Thornburg, SNU senior, said.

“It was very helpful. I was looking for something working with people in general. I found a few options and made a few contacts,” Jamie Grubert, SNU freshman said.

“The day had lots of traffic and was very successful,” Peterson said as the day began to wrap up.

Students not in attendance of the job fair can talk to Chris Peterson in the SNU Student Development Office for further employment opportunities.
