Huhnke, Geraldine & Dolores Woods Scholarship

  • Established by Robert Wood
  • Provides funds for a full-time upper division student completing a degree in Modern Languages, with a 3.0 GPA minimum
  • $500 minimum increments

Latham, Ruby L. Memorial Scholarship

  • Established by Rev. Miss Mary Latham, sister
  • Provides need-based funds for students in the Department of Modern Languages
  • Recipients shall possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and should exemplify SNU's motto "Character-Culture-Christ"
  • A preference is given to a French major, pursuing a career in teaching, ministry or missions
  • Amount varies

Troutman, Philip H. Scholarship

  • Established by Rev. & Mrs. Robert Troutman
  • Need-based general award to a student pursuing a foreign language concentration
  • Amount varies

Wellmon, Robert & Retha Memorial Scholarship

  • Established and funded by Robert and Dolores Wood
  • Provides funds for a Modern Language major or minor
  • An annual award shall be made to a freshman, and upperclassman, based on academic achievement
  • Amount varies

Wood, Erma Memorial Scholarship – Spanish

  • Established and funded by Robert & Dolores Wood
  • Provides awards to junior or senior Modern Language majors or minors, who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and are of strong Christian character and ideals
  • $500 increments
