Dr. Lewis joined the SNU faculty in 1999, became the Chair of the School of Music in 2011, and teaches Aesthetics, Class Piano and applied viola.  She enjoys reading books with her daughter, scuba diving with her husband, and running half marathons with her dad.

Professor Rebekah Ambrosini

Rebekah Ambrosini received her B.M. and M.P.A. from Oklahoma City University. She has served on the voice faculties of Molloy College, Oklahoma City University, and the University of Oklahoma where she was also a Doctoral Fellow. The contralto is a regular soloist with many major American symphonies and has performed leading roles with national and international opera companies. Mrs. Ambrosini delights in training young singers, traveling and spending time with her husband and children.

Dr. Rich Cantwell

Dr. Cantwell conducts the SNU Symphonic Band, and teaches Counterpoint, Orchestration, Church Music Administration and Aesthetics. He holds a B.F.A. in Music and Music Education from the University of Nebraska and a D.M.A. in Choral and Instrumental Conducting from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He was the Instrumental Director in the Omaha public schools prior to his career in higher education. He also served as Associate Pastor of Music and Drama Ministries at Central Church of the Nazarene in Lenexa concurrent with his tenure at MidAmerica Nazarene University. He has been teaching at SNU since 2011. He and his wife Linda, Vice President for Enrollment, enjoy spending time with their three adult children, their spouses and eight grandchildren in OKC, Denver, CO and Minneapolis, MN.

Professor Matt Denman

Matthew Denman is the Director of Education for the Guitar Foundation of America, Director of the Celedonio Romero Guitar Institute and of Guitar Instructor for Southern Nazarene University. In 2013 Matthew was featured on the cover of Soundboard magazine and he received the GFA Augustine Award for excellence in guitar Education. Pepe Romero has said, "What José Antonio Abreu is to El Sistema, Matt Denman is to the Celedonio Romero Guitar Institute." In his spare time, Matthew volunteers at Classen School of Advanced studies.. Other Awards include the Images of Excellence Award (2012, 2010, 2009), and Teacher of the Year (2010-2011 Classen SAS). Matthew has been a guest lecturer, clinician, and performer throughout the United States and in 2013 played for the 100 year anniversary of Segovia's debut at the Ateneo in Madrid.

Jim Graves joined the School of Music faculty in 2008 and conducts the Concert Choir, SNU Chorale, and University Singers.  Under Jim's direction, SNU ensembles have performed nationally and internationally, and at the American Choral Directors Association national convention in Dallas in Spring 2013.  Their latest CD, "By Day or By Night" was released in July, 2013.

Dr. Phil Moore

Dr. Moore is co-coordinator of the Music Education program and also teaches conducting, music history, church music, and methods in music education. He holds the B.M.E. from Southern Nazarene University, and the M.M.E. and D.M.A. from the University of Oklahoma. He was the Instrumental Director at Bethany Public Schools from 1974 to 1981. He has been at SNU since 1981, serving as Chairman of the School of Music from 1999 to 2008 and Band Director from 1981 to 2013. He also serves as Director of the Sanctuary Orchestra at Crossings Community Church. He and his wife Donna enjoy spending time with their daughter Lindsay, professor of humanities at Boston University, son-in-law Ken, a doctor in the Harvard Medical System, and new grandchild Edie, born in March of 2013.

Dr. Mark Reighard

Dr. Reighard has been on the faculty of SNU since 1969.  He teaches Private Piano, Music Theory, and Fine Arts.  He has received the outstanding alumni award from SNU twice and the excellence in teaching award (voted by the students), three times.  He is married to Audrey (a retired school-teacher) and they have a son Christopher, who, along with his wife Ashley live and work in Oklahoma City.  He has one granddaughter, Audrey Claire, who was born March 23, 2013.

Professor Ken Rosfeld

Prof. Ken Rosfeld has been professionally involved in the recording business in Oklahoma City since 1989 and has owned a professional recording studio business since 1995.  He has been on the faculty of SNU since 2005, serving as "Professional in Residence."  Prof. Rosfeld teaches Intro to Music Business, Studio Recording I & II, Live Recording Techniques, Intro to Production Technology, and History of Recorded Music.  He enjoys black and white photography, architecture, art history, and traveling with his wife, Kim, and son, Benjamin.
