Alumni Spotlight

Matthew Marchant

Currently: A partner at the law firm of Strasburger and Price, LLP and Mayor of Carrollton, TX.

Responsibilities:
His practice focuses on real estate and finance and his role as mayor serves 125,000 people and governs an annual budget of 160 million dollars.

Achievements: After graduation from SNU, Marchant continued his education at the University of Texas School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctorate. As mayor, he has established a redevelopment program and many other quality of life enhancements in the city. Recently Marchant was named one of the Dallas business Journal’s Forty Under 40.

In His Words: “SNU gave me a well-rounded education that continues to provide me with the tools I need to navigate my career in law and politics. The relationships I made during my time at SNU continue to be very important in my life and they provide me with support and outlets to have fun.”
