SNU Red Carpet Weekend

SNU Red Carpet Parent’s Weekend

Parents of Southern Nazarene University students are welcomed back to campus, October 23-24, 2015, to participate in the university’s annual RED CARPET Parent Weekend.

This event will give parents a chance to see their students within the everyday environment of SNU coupled with a few elements special to this experience.

RED CARPET weekend was created to provide an opportunity for parents to share a bit a everyday campus-life, experience student talent and get a taste of the spirit of SNU,” says Marian Redwine, Associate Dean for Student Life. “We are a unique community and RED CARPET weekend gives them a chance to see this for themselves.”

The kick-off event for RED CARPET WEEKEND starts at 7:00 p.m. in Herrick Auditorium with Southern Nazarene Live (SNL) – Student Life’s largest variety show of the year.

Saturday will bring many campus experiences, including a 9 a.m. “State of the Campus” Coffee with members of the President’s Cabinet, giving parents an up-front look at what’s happening on campus as well as what’s coming soon.

Throughout the day there will be athletic contests from several different sports:

Volleyball @ 11 : Sawyer
Women’s Soccer @ 2 : Home Soccer Field
Football @ 4 : Home Football Field
Men’s Soccer @ 7 : in Shawnee, Ok (about 45 min. from campus)

Parents are encouraged to attend church with their student on the following Sunday morning before heading out.
