Camp Soar - School for Children Summer Camps


SNU SFC Summer Enrichment Series Camp Soar (formerly Excel Summer Camps) is a highly successful summer enrichment series designed for students to receive individual attention in small groups. Instructors are highly qualified educators. all certified. and many with master's degrees. SNU is proud to be a leader in the area of academic Christian modeling.



LITERACY & SCIENCE/MATH CAMPS

COST: $350 per camp 
LOCATION: SNU School for Children
(3100 N. Rockwell. Bethany) 

REQUIREMENT: Students must have completed grades K, 1, 2, or 3.
NOTE: If children are enrolled in both camps, they may bring a lunch from home. Space is limited to 30 students per camp. $50 non-refundable deposit per camp is required with application.


LITERACY CAMP (9am-12pm, June 19 - July 14)

In this 4 week camp, instructors provide exciting reading, writing, and language activities in a fun, relaxed, camp-like setting. Activities include individualized reading instruction, games, songs, journal writing, and cooking experiences. This camp is designed to help students maintain or exceed their reading level over the summer.

SCIENCE /MATH CAMP (1pm-4pm, June 19 - July 14)

In this 4 week camp, instructors present exciting science and math concepts that will enhance problem-solving skills. Students will participate in experiments, hands-on activities, and games, all designed to explore the relationship between science and math. This camp is designed to enrich your child's science and math skills in fun filled experiences.

WOODWORKING CAMPS

COST: $150 per session  
LOCATION: Bethany First Church Wood Shop
(Southeast corner of N.W. 42nd and Mueller)  
REQUIREMENT: Students must have completed grades 2-10
NOTE: Each listed Woodworking Camp is a one week camp. Space is limited to 12 students per session.

In all sessions of this one week camp, students will learn how to use a variety of woodworking tools and machines. Safety will be stressed as each student makes his/her own pen on a lathe as well as other daily projects. Returning campers will be working on new projects.
