Sigma Tau Delta - International English Honor Society

Psi Xi is the SNU chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the national English honor society. It was chartered in 1979.  Junior and senior English majors and minors may apply for membership if they have at least a 3.5 grade point average overall and a 3.7 in English coursework. The student pays half of the admission cost of $41 ($20); the English department pays the other half ($21).

Membership to Sigma Tau Delta offers significant advantages to English Majors in the Psi Xi chapter, including scholarships and academic awards, as well as publishing and internship opportunities. English graduates of Sigma Tau Delta are honored at commencement with a special Medallion & Honor Cord.
