Mission Statement

LiveLast Service Programs aims to intentionally engage in Serve Group Photo of Student's Assistingservice alongside local organizations. We believe we are called to serve others towards freedom and redemption that comes in Christ.

Our Community Partners

To learn more about getting connected to these and other local organizations, or to sign-up for an upcoming Serve Group opportunity please contact Deanna Thomason at

What if I currently work at a Non-Profit or Ministry Organization?

A paid position cannot count toward service credit. However, if you work more than what you are paid (e.g., 20-hour contract, work 25) then you can count extra time toward service credits. This is to encourage students to continue working in their chosen ministry rather than finding another service opportunity.

Am I limited to the Organizations that are listed online?

You will not be discouraged from researching other organizations that you may like to serve at, but these will have to be approved by the Office of Spiritual Development.

What Organizations Qualify?

Any Nazarene organization or organization that SNU has partnered within the past is eligible. Other experiences may count for credit, including volunteer work with a church, tutoring, serving at a local non-profit, and after-school programs. The Office of Spiritual Development must approve all non-listed opportunities.

Can I earn Spiritual Development Credits by Serving on Campus?

There may be some opportunities to receive credit from various on-campus activities, but the purpose of the service requirement is to place you in community- based service endeavors. On campus service activities must be pre-approved by a Campus Pastor.

Our Nazarene Heritage
Founded in 1899, Southern Nazarene University is a private, Christian, liberal arts university - a service of the Church of the Nazarene. Located on a 40-acre campus just west of Oklahoma City, SNU grew out of several small colleges committed to educating people for lives of service to God, leadership, and reconciliation toward their neighbors and within the global community. More than 32,000 alumni work and serve throughout the United States and the world. Read About Our Heritage
