SNU Students Win Top Scholarships

(BETHANY, OK) – Three Southern Nazarene University students have been awarded the top three scholarships from the Oklahoma Division of Student Assistance. Heather Cox, Patty Juliuson and Daxten Pruter competed against students across the state and were chosen based on their academic achievements as well as their student leadership and community involvement activities. All three students are members of the two SNU TRiO Federal grants, LIFE and McNair Scholars.

“Students involved in the LIFE and McNair programs continue to excel,” says Professor Loral Henck, LIFE Project Director. “The students selected for these scholarships exemplify our Character, Culture, Christ model in every way. Academically they are exceptional!”

Heather is a junior biochemistry major and plans to attend Physician's Assistant school upon graduation.

Patty is a senior Cultural and Communication Studies major and plans to get a master's degree in teaching English as a second language after graduation.

Daxten is a junior nursing major who will pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree upon graduation.
