Congratulations are in order to the Southern Nazarene University (SNU) Western Equestrian team. The team returned last week from a win at a horse show in Lubbock, Texas.
The team placed first in the afternoon show, beating second place finisher, West Texas A&M, and third place school, Texas Tech.
SNU brought only five riders to the show, (making them a third the size of the two nearest finishing schools) yet still managed to score a total of 29 points to capture the victory.
Highlights of the show include Janislynn Isackson (Senior), with a first place in the Reining and second place in the open horsemanship class. Janislynn was also the reserve high point rider for the show.
Johannah Isackson (Junior) placed fourth in the advanced horsemanship division, Aubrey Falkner (Freshman) placed first in the novice horsemanship division, Morgan Totty (Sophomore) placed second in the beginner horsemanship class, and Stephanie Bailey (Junior) placed first in the beginner horsemanship division.
Congratulations to the team for a great show, and good luck to Janislynn Isackson who qualified to represent SNU at the Zone Semi-Final Championships in Canyon, Texas.
“Southern Nazarene University's Equestrian Center is committed to furthering the education of men and women looking for a career in the Equine Industry.
