Southern Nazarene University (SNU) has announced a partnership with the Nazarene Theological Seminary that offers opportunity for students to earn a NTS Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from the SNU campus. The initiative will begin in the fall of 2010.
The degree program will offer Ministers who enroll in the NTS M.Div. Degree Program a chance to earn the required credit hours by way of different class formats. Two NTS courses will be offered each semester. One taught by a professor on campus and the other taught by a professor from the NTS campus. An increasing number of NTS courses will be offered online each semester.
“We see this opportunity as a way to serve ministers and ministry candidates on the USA South Central Region,” said Hal Cauthron, Chair of the School of Theology and Ministry at Southern Nazarene University. “We have worked in other ways over the years, to make ministry preparation and enhancement available to our regional church constituency through continuing education. This program will make the NTS M.Div. degree a possibility for ministers who have been hindered in acquiring additional expertise and skills for ministry.”
Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) has also partnered with NTS in this program.
