Technology quiz covering technology trends today Word Processing Word Art, Tables, Tab options, Column layout, Formatting, Picture Insertion, Headers and Footers Electronic Spreadsheets Cell formatting, Formulas, Sheet tab formatting, Chart creation and customization Presentation Software Presentation creation, Pictures and borders, Background templates, Slide transition, Custom animation, Timing Exam Objective Passing the exam indicates that a student has basic understanding of computer setup and procedures needed to undertake use of the computer successfully in an academic college setting. Freshmen who pass the test are no longer required to take the Integrated Software Applications class, and can enroll in electives instead. Students pre-enrolled in the class who pass the test can drop/add the course if done so in a timely manner. Who takes it? Any interested student can opt to take this proficiency test to determine if they need to take the Integrated Software Applications (CSNE 1113) class. A student should not attempt the test without a good understanding of the concepts listed above. This test should be taken no later than end of the Freshman year. When/where is the test offered? The test is offered once at the beginning of each semester and again around advising time. Call the testing center (491-6323) for the next test date. (There is limited seating each time.) How do I sign up for the exam? For a reservation students should come by the testing center in Science Room 433. You may call 491-6323 for more information. A $10.00 non-refundable, non-transferrable fee is charged for this exam. What are the criteria to pass? -

Technology Quiz (10%) A combined passing score of 70% is required to pass. In order for a test to be scored an attempt must be made on all sections of the exam. How long do I have to take the test?
