Thomson to lead Alumni and Communications at SNU

BETHANY, OK -- Dr. Terry Toler, Vice President for University Advancement and Church Relations at Southern Nazarene University, recently announced the appointment of Ms. Kendra Thomson as Executive Director of Alumni Relations & Strategic Communications at SNU. Thomson currently serves as Director of Media Strategies for the university, and will continue to lead that team in her new role, leveraging their talents to connect alumni and friends of SNU with new focus and frequency.

“Since receiving her degree from SNU in Mass Communications (’94), Thomson has dedicated herself to the work of the university, proving to be a leader and a creative visionary who wants to implement best practices and cutting-edge media technologies into the important areas of communication and connection with our constituents,” said Dr. Toler. “I have full confidence in her ability to lead, connect and engage all alumni and friends of SNU.”

Dr. Toler also gave appreciation to former Director of Alumni Relations, Ms. Brenda Styers, for her service to the university, with congratulations on her attainment of credentials in counseling, and continued success in her new career.

Within the new structure, Ms. Thomson will have the support of two highly talented colleagues, Mrs. Tollya Spindle, Alumni Specialist and Annual Fund Coordinator (’92,‘97), and Mrs. Marcia Mosshart (’77), Coordinator of Special Events. “They bring years of experience to their roles and a common passion for SNU,” stated Toler, “I trust the SNU family around the globe will join with me in prayer and support of this initiative and these good people.”
