Travel info -- Commission Unto Mexico

Everyone will need to be at El Paso First Church of the Nazarene (2520 Silver Avenue El Paso, TX 79930) at 9 am on December 27.

Mexican buses will leave the church to take us across the border at 10am. That evening, once everyone is in Chihuahua, we will have an orientation/organization meeting. We will return to the parking lot of El Paso First Church on the morning of January 3.

Flying
If you plan to fly into El Paso, you need to talk to a travel agent or get online immediately. Our trip comes during a holiday season.

Car pooling
We will help organize carpools for people coming from the same area or travelling the same route (For instance, a van from Oklahoma City could pick up people in the Dallas area). We can give you names and telephone numbers of other people from your area going to Commission Unto Mexico. We have a secure place in El Paso for drivers to park their cars.

Vans from Bethany
If you are interested in the possibility of going on an SNU van, call the Spiritual Development Office: (405) 717-6216.

Buses to Chihuahua from El Paso
In El Paso you will be assigned to a chartered bus that will take you across the border and to the city of Chihuahua (this cost is included in what you pay for the trip).

Is your luggage identified with your name? In El Paso, make sure your luggage gets on the bus you're going to ride to Chihuahua. Don’t leave it on the ground, assuming that someone else will load it for you.

Do you need a passport? Not this year (although it may be required in a future year).  You need a birth certificate AND a photo ID.

Thoughtfully and prayerfully perfect

"I had a great time. Everything was thoughtfully and prayerfully perfect. I have already begun recruiting for next year's trip from other churches in my area." -- Don Ballard
