She quickly shared that she had become a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ in the last few months of her senior year at SNU.   • Crimson Storm Coach Hosts Camps Overseas

    BETHANY, OK (August 7, 2012) - This summer, Crimson Storm Head Football Coach Mike Cochran traveled to Austria to host two football camps. Coach Cochran went to Austria and Poland last summer to establish a relationship with missionaries in both of those countries.   • Dorris Named SNU's Head Coach of Women's Basketball

    BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene University has announced that it has hired Derek Dorris as its Head Coach for Women’s Basketball.  Dorris becomes the 10th coach in the program’s history that features seven NAIA National Championships. He takes over for Lori Carter who spent the last nine years at SNU and left as the school’s all-time wins leader at 219.   Full Story

  • SNU Announces Inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame Class

    BETHANY, Okla. — Over the course of the next few years, the athletics department, as well as the campus of Southern Nazarene University, will undergo a large shift in the direction of its future.   One of the new paths that Southern Nazarene will travel this year will be the school's induction ceremony of the inaugural SNU Athletic Hall of Fame, a tradition that the SNU athletic department hopes to make an annual event.   Full Story

  • Women's Basketball Program Forever Changed by Ukraine Tournament - 20 Years Later

    BETHANY, Okla. (October 13, 2011) – In late August of this year, over a dozen coaches and players from the 1991-1992 SNU Women’s Basketball team gathered together at the home of Bobby Bolton, SNU Alumnus and former assistant coach, to celebrate the 20-year reunion of the team’s trip overseas. In 1991, the Women’s Basketball team made a long journey to Kiev, Ukraine to compete in a tournament for the Kiev Cup.   Full Story
