School For Children

SNU's School For Children - A Child Development Laboratory School in conjunction with the School of Education, Bethany Oklahoma

Welcome to School for Children at Southern Nazarene University, Bethany, Oklahoma to Southern Nazarene University's School for Children   We are a private, Christian school located in Bethany, Oklahoma.  The School for Children is a program for the 3 year-old child through the 6th grade student.

The individualized one-on-one attention, combined with the secure learning environment of the School for Children, away from the usual classroom distractions, offers students the opportunity to concentrate more completely, to receive answers to their questions as they learn the material, to better understand the material, and to achieve their academic goals. And with enthusiastic and intelligent feed-back from our teachers, students realize that learning can be fun!

SNU School for Children is a Child Development Laboratory School. We are dedicated to training Christian teachers for public, private, and Christian schools, while providing a complete program of educational excellence for children at the Pre-kindergarten through 6th grade levels.

SFC’s motto is, “Every child a learner!”  Our academic reputation has been positively impacted since 1971 because we say that every child is a learner, we make sure every child is a learner and others say that indeed children at SFC have become learners.  We say it.  We do it.  Others notice that we do it.

The School for Children is fully accredited by the Oklahoma State Department of Education, North Central Accreditation Association, and NCATE (National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education). This is the highest accreditation a school can have.

All of our teachers are highly qualified by state and national standards for the grade they teach.
