SNU Athletic Publication Receives NAIA-SIDA Award

     BETHANY, OK --- The Southern Nazarene University (SNU) Crimson Storm Athletics’ basketball media guide has been recognized as among the top two in the nation for 2008-09.

Pictured above is Scott Secor, Director of SNU Sports Information.  During his tenure at SNU, Secor has developed SNU's sports website and his media guides have earned national recognition on the NAIA level.  

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Sports Information Directors of America (SIDA) announced the recipients of the 2008-09 Publication Contest winners during the 2009 NAIA-SIDA Convention.  The convention was held on the campus of Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX.  Publication Contest winners were announced at the Clarence “Ike” Pearson Awards Luncheon held on June 20.

Crimson Storm Sports Information Director and editor of the winning piece, Scott Secor, accepted the award on behalf of SNU.  Assisting Secor in the preparation of the combined basketball brochure were SNU students, Whitney Grissom, Sarah Privott, and Jodie Harper.  In all, there were 11 publication contests with over 100 winners.
