Southern Nazarene University's School for Children holds first ever SFC Chapel Service

On Friday, March 6, The Southern Nazarene University (SNU) School for Children held the first ever School For Children (SFC) Chapel service.

It had been a long-time 'dream' of School for Children to regularly hold chapel services for students and staff, and with the move this year to its new location (Calvary Church of the Nazarene), that 'dream' has become reality!

“The SFC is so blessed to be able to use the beautiful sanctuary of Calvary Church for its chapel services.  They want to make this a regular, on going part of the School for Children experience,” said Dr. Tim Taylor, Director, Teacher Education, and Professor of Education at Southern Nazarene University.

At this first chapel service, Pastor Jim Hill of Calvary Church brought a wonderful devotional. There was a special musical presentation by the Pre-K division, and SFC fundraiser winners were recognized.

Taylor stated “Students, staff, parents and special guests all enjoyed a time of worship and praise together as we celebrated the many blessings God has given the School for Children.”

Future chapel services will be scheduled on a regular basis and parents, guests, and the SNU campus community are always welcome to attend.  The goal is that future chapel services will become an integral part of the excellence at SNU School for Children.
