Costs: This year the participation cost is $595 which includes insurance, bus travel to and from Chihuahua (leaving from El Paso), on site meals, housing and transportation. Please be sure to pay a deposit of $100 by October 1st with the remainder due by November 1st (in order to secure housing, materials and transportation).
Travel: We will meet at the Border Initiative Ministry Center in El Paso, TX at 7:00 AM on Dec. 27th. There are beds at the ministry center for those who need to stay the night on the Dec. 26th but they are limited. We will have a place to sign up for these beds on the registration. All participants are responsible for finding their own way to the Border Initiative Ministry Center.
Rooms: Rooms are priced at 4 people per room. If participants would like other arrangements, there will be an added cost. More details to follow as the hotel arrangements are secured.
Minors are required to stay in a room with a parent or legal guardian, no exceptions.
Background Checks: Other costs include the $25 that must be sent along with the completed background check form found on the right side of the page for those who have not had a background check through us for either of the past two trips (2016-2017 or 2017-2018). Further instructions for this payment are included on the right.

Terms and Conditions: This year, participants are required to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions for this trip. It requires a digital signature acknowledging agreement to the document when you sign up, so read it before filling out the registration form. Minors must also have a parent or legal guardian read and sign this document that can be found on the right side of the webpage.
Parent Permission Forms: Much like in the past, minors must have a parent permission form signed by both parents and/or legal guardians. This applies to anyone who will be a minor at any time between December 27th, 2019, and January 2nd, 2020. We must have an original hardcopy of this document, so print it out, complete the form, and mail it to the listed address. All of this can be found on the right.
Background Checks: SNU requires all adult participants to submit an updated background check. If you have not submitted a background check in past 2 years, you will be asked to either send us an official copy or send $25 with a completed form (see this website link to the right) at least 1 month prior to the mission trip.
All international registrants must apply through Border Initiative rather than Southern Nazarene University.
