Arnold, Walter E. RN/BNS Scholarship

  • Established and funded by Dr. Aline Arnold, wife
  • Female student completing a RN/BSN Degree
  • Preference for "Single Mothers"
  • Amount varies

Chandler-Thompson Families Scholarship - RN/BSN

  • Established by Ray & Dian Thompson Chandler
  • Support aid for any full-time married students with a 1st preference for students enrolled in the RN/BSN Program
  • If no candidate is available, may be awarded to any married student in Adult Studies
  • Amount varies

Deaconess-Bethany Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship

  • Established by the Bethany Health Center Auxiliary
  • Provides awards for students entering medical-related fields with a preference for the School of Nursing
  • Recipients must be upper-division students in the SNU Nursing program, from the State of Oklahoma, with a GPA consistent with the nursing program's academic guidelines
  • Amount varies

Krohe, Pamela J. Memorial Scholarship

  • Established by David O. & Lona J. Krohe, parents; and funded by the friends of Pam Krohe
  • Provides funds for a senior nursing student preparing for “nursing on the mission field”
  • The recipient shall exemplify the motto of SNU: "Character-Culture-Christ"
  • $1,000 increments

McBride Foundation Scholarship

  • Established by the McBride Foundation of Oklahoma City
  • Restricted to citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America
  • Must be a legal resident of Oklahoma
  • Must be officially admitted to the SNU School of Nursing
  • Be enrolled in at least 6 hours per semester at SNU
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a verifiable financial need
  • Amount varies

Muzingo Jr., Donald L. Memorial Scholarship

  • Established through the Estate of Donald L. Muzingo, Jr.
  • Restricted in "In-coming Freshman-level students" enrolled in the School of Nursing
  • Must have a verifiable financial need
  • Awards in minimum increments of $1000

Nursing Department Scholarships

  • Funded by friends of the School of Nursing
  • Provides general scholarships to students in the School of Nursing
  • Amount varies

Thompson, Joe & Katie Scholarship

  • Established and funded by Katie Thompson
  • Any classification
  • Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Verifiable financial need
  • Amount varies

Ware, Betty J. Nursing Heritage Scholarship

  • Established by the faculty and friends of the SNU School of Nursing in honor of Dr. Betty J. Ware
  • Provides need-based scholarships to students in the School of Nursing
  • Amount varies

Woolman, Elmer & Mabel Memorial Scholarship

  • Established through the Bequest of Elmer Woolman
  • Provides aid for Junior or Senior level students with a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Amount varies

Young, Lavonne M. Memorial Scholarship

  • Established by Rev. Dwain Young, husband, with continued support from Rev. Dwain and Marlene Young, and Dr. Marvin Young, son
  • Restricted to upper-division students accepted into the Nursing Program track
  • Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Verifiable financial need
  • Amount varies
